Message: I recently received an error code 1762 1764 so I replaced the Governor pressure sensor and Governor Pressure solenoid in my tranny I have a 97 jeep grand cherokee LTD the error codes are gone but it won't shift into 3rd gear now and if it does it only lasts a minute and then revs high and then shifts back to 2nd 1st and second gears are strong though, it ran thru it's full range of gears when the rear end was lifted without any load on the vehicle I have disengaged the kickdown cable under the hood still no results does the kickdown band adjustment inside the pan need adjustment or is the tranny pooched any advice on troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated Thanks Dave p.s due to the prior owners improper installation of remote starter (I have removed it) there was and still is some electrical probs interior lights flicker etc Thanks again Dave Replies to this post
