96 Maxima stater problem

Hi,
I have 96 Nissan Maxima. Starter went few days ago and I just installed a new starter today. Now, it will crank and turn the engine. But engine won't start. I took the stater back to where I bought it. They tested the starter and it was working.
I am not sure why engine won't start. I installed the starter correctly. What could it be?
please help.
