Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series EX5 Prado wagon

Hi,

I drive an EFI Land Cruiser 70 series Prado EX5 wagon with automatic transmission. I just want to ask why is it that when I get on steep roads about 30 degrees inclination, the car does not rev up or shift down? but when i drive through flat surface, it seems to work fine. What could be the cause of this?
