when i drive the car for a while a star shaped symbol appears and there's and exclamation mark (!) appears in the middle of the star when i begin to break i hear a large thumping sound and the car jerks foward. when i am stationed at the traffic light the car then cuts out. i have taken it for a diangotic test and reading indicated the rear abs sensors have gone..i have just recently changed it and it is still doing it. i have asked mechanic he reckons i need a new gearbox? wondering for a second opinion
