Message: I lost O.D. because the throttle linkage fell from the throttle body on my 92 LTD I noticed the slippage immediately and kept the car in drive 3 from then on ,but Ford said that I had already lost the OD .They were right .I replaced the clip at the throttle body, which was plastic, with an after market unit, which is brass, but he was right. When the car reaches 38 MPH the motor races. It will not engage. I cant believe that the little amount of slippage caused the OD band to burn out.Please give me your response Thank You.
