I started having shifting problems with my transmission yesterday afternoon, I drove my car fine everywhere, till suddenly I had major oil leak, I didn't know it was an oil leak so immediately parked the car, fortunately it started while I was in the parking lot of my apt. I immediately called a mechanic and they told me to check my transmission oil, I didn't know where it was located so brought it to Firestone, they said the oil level is fine, it could be slipping. They referred me to a local transmission shop down the road, brought it there, they said it was a major oil leak coming from the front of the transmission, you could literally see the trail, the oil wasn't burnt or anything, so I was wondering about the price and what could it be, they are charging me 299 to take the transmission out and fully inspect it and the shifting problems just started, it only does it when the car has been running for awhile, once the problems occurred I took it to the mechanic but could other damage have been caused by driving it a short distance a matter of 4 miles to the shop
